I am glad he was able to walk away. I am sure he will be sore for a few weeks. Same thing happened to me about 6 months ago . A van changed lanes and hit the breaks I was able to lock up both breaks and stop with about 1" to spare but my bike fell over to the right with both my feet up and the suddon stop and threw me off the bike onto my back and the curb. Just had a scratch on the highway bars and deep bruses on back and hip.
No acident is good but ones you can walk away from has to give you thanks. I wish him a fast healing and hope he gets his bike back soon.

Update....insurance co. aka bend over and grab your ankles totalled his bike out - at the stock price...he didn't have it insured to cover the custom work and chrome....really lost his a$$ off...but that beats the alternative of losing his life.
Make sure your insurance covers all your custom....i changed my today.
