Had about 2K on my new E3 and I picked up some kind of bolt or something on the road. Sounded like a backfire to me. I thought WTH, I'm at a constant speed and it backfires? 1/4 mile down the road I hear a new noise that I can't even identify.
Really getting concerned now. Shortly my a$$ end is like it's on ice. Now it starts to come together.
Luckily, I was only about 3 miles from home and I just come home on a flat tire. I'm thinking now I need to always have a spare rear tire in the garage. Can't see paying an extra $50 to get a tire locally, so until JakeWilson can get me a new tire, I'm stuck in a cage.
I know it could have been a lot worse, but I don't feel lucky.
Oh ya, I got a nice new dimple pushed up on my rear fender too.
Glad to hear it didn't cause a crash. I've never had one but that is one thing that I so worry about. I try to check my tire pressure every couple of weeks to make sure it's at the right pressure.
