I went by my local dealer to inquire about a new night train. I got offered an "out the door" price of 18,244.66. Is this a good deal or is my dealer giving me the big chorizo on this?
I just bought a new Heritage Classic for MSRP + $200 for set-up. Around here (Indiana) everyone seems to be sticking right at sticker. Make sure to get a least 10% off of parts and merchandise. My dealer gave me 15% off everything for one year (no break on labor).
well according to the hd homepage the vivid black nightrain msrp starts at 14,995. when i bought my softail they get there price staright from hd and should.
Black Night Train MSRP is 14,995. Add FI 400, and freight 225, and you have 15,620.
Pearl Night Train MSRP is 15,380. Add FI and Freight and you have 15,905.
Sounds like you are pretty high, unless that price includes tax, title, license, and some extra goodies. 2,300 over MSRP is a lot in this day and time.
Like was said earlier, check into what you are actually being charged for. Could it be that they are taking advantage of the fact that it is a Harley and someone with a lot of money will pay the price just because it is a Harley and they want to be COOL? If possible, check with other dealers as to what they are charging.
Tell him 17000 and he can take the commission to buy Lil Timmy some new shoes! I bought a 05 fxsti with a detachable sissy bar that costed way to much for 16,200 out the door. The sissy bar was almost 700. 16000 and some change may be the right number!
