Default heritage bag removal

dum question but here it goes is all you have to do to remove the bags from the bike is to loosen the two nuts on the inside of the bag and then loosen the acorn nut on the bracket to get them off. is the bracket sping loaded or does it just feel that way because of the rubber bushing under the acorn nut.

the rubber damping bushel connects the thread going into the bracket to the acorn nut which you turn ... therefore if the thread into the bracket is tight or jammed the rubber will twist quite a bit before enough torque is applyed to shift it.ie just apply a bit of muscle and ignore the flex.
