I always like the touring bikes but are dam ugly when you remove the bags, so a softail was in order. I also like the fat end and style. SO I bought my self a 2007 FATBOY and ....... see the photos 90% done.
No doubt, the dual purpose is the way to go. I dont need a tour-pak and saddlebags just to roll up to the local bike night. But when I want to get away I need more space. I bought the leather tour-pak, windshield, and saddlebags. All detachable, no tools needed. I can roll out in full dress and then strip it down to bare bike within 60 seconds. The setup is sweet for sure. Although......A street glide would be sweet. After riding a bike with a radio I must say that its very nice for the long rides. Oh well, we will never have the perfect bike that does it all....Just buy 2, lol.
