My 92 Heritage will not start on occasion.. I got stranded and push started to get home. Then on arrival starter still did not work only click. Bike sat 3 days and then started right up. Checked battery and connection and both are good.. Any help ?? Thanks DJ[:-]
If it's 'clicking' but not turning over (and not starting), my guess is a weak battery. Try charging it and see what happens... which of course leads to the next question; why is the batter low?!?!?
*** You can also stick on a Volt Meter and check the voltage...
Maybe the battery is old and just needs replacing? maybe it's not charging?!
Next time it's doing the same, you can also check the batter by hooking up booster cables... if the Bike goes from clicking to turning over and starting with the booster cables, there you go....
Of course I could be wrong (it would not be the first or last time)... good lock and just my.02.
