I was stuck in stop and go traffic two days ago for about 30minutes and it was getting very hot on my right leg just sitting there. Is that in line with the overheating problem on the '07s? Just got my '07 a couple weeks ago.

What were you wearing? Shorts?!?!?! Lol. It was your right leg only. Due to the Pipes being on the right. I switched to Synthetic at my 1000 mile service and they say it runs cooler with synthetic. The reason I say "They say" is because I never knew what temp it ran till after I got my oil tank temp gage, witch was way after switching over to Synthetic. It reads 220 on a very hot day and 180 at night.

I have been offered a great deal on a 2007 Night Train, I need some help as I did a search and couldnt find any real answers but is there any GREAT difference between a 2007 NT and a 2008 model.
The 2007 is a brand new bike that hasnt sold so the dealer wants it out of the door.
Thanks
Rick

If you had to choose between the 2006 and the 2007, I'd say spend alil More and get the 2007. Wider tire, six speed tranny and 96" engine.

But, Its the same thing on the 07 and 08. So I say get the deal on the 2007!!!

no just wearing jeans, but I was having to kick that leg up on the foot pegs to try and elevate it while sitting there cause it was starting to burn....[8D] It may be running too lean. I'm going to take it in for an oil change soon, I'll have them check it out while it'sin the shop.

the 08 frame is the same frame as the cross bones and the 07 is not....
the 06-07 NT are the same the 08 is the newer frame.

I know because the I was at the dealer looking to use the cross bones seat and the parts dept called harley to find out and they said it only fits 08 and newer trains

There is no issue with overheating 07s. I repeat... NO issues.

THE NEWER BIKES RUN HOTTER THAN BEFORE DUE TO TIGHT EMISSION REGULATIONS. THE BIKE WILL NOT MELT INTO A POOL OF LIQUID ALUMINUM. ITS SUPPOSED TO RUN THAT HOT.

Adding more fuel / proper tune will richen up your mixture which brings engine temps down which brings along better performance.
EXACTLY!

I agree with everyone on the deal though, I'd go for it. It's the same bike as the '08.

Do 07s have the 1" axles (like 08s)? I don't think so, else the rear axle/adjuster covers would not be unique to 08.

My 07 train front axle is 25mm = 1 inch. Its the same as 08.
