Default Crossbones Owners?

I wrecked this week and i am getting a new ride as soon as i heal up. Tell me pros/cons of the crossbones... How does it handle? What about comfort on longer rides 250-300/day? BTW I appreciate the input and all I know is i ain't getting a heritage this time. Crossbones is at the top of the list right now!

RockyTop...A Vols fan!! I went to UT back in the 70's and also live in E TN. I have had my XBones since mid-March. I love it! It handles great and loves the curves. I took it to Deals Gap and rode it twice..636 curves and the XBones took to the curves like a duck to water. The tractor seat is very comfortable also. The longest trip I have made on it was 230 miles and I was tired when I got home but no aches and pains from the seat. It can be easy to drag the floorboards if you are not careful, but on the Deals Gap trip I didn't drag them at all. The XBones gets a lot of attention. Everywhere I stop, people come over and check it out or say "nice bike".

living in Pa, Roads suck!!! Smooth riding one minute an road ripples and pot holes the next, and the bones takes whatever you can throw at it.

Harley did there home work on this one.... Design, layout..... Coming from the dyna family, the bike is more comfortable for me, with the floor boards, and upright seating, with the mini apes. No back or shoulder pains after long hauls. You still have the classical HD clunk during shifting. Honestly I have nothing yet to
Bitch about this Bike,,,, and I am really lucky to own and ride the Crossbones........It rocks.!!

Good luck with your decision!!

I had a Heritage for 4 years, then I fell in love with the Bones, I thought I miss the screen on the heritage on long hauls but its been fine, one thing I have noticed is the Bones seems to habve a smaller turning circle when parking. it seems much more easier to park in my garage, as i have to reverse it in. Here in the UK we have Trafic Islands, not sure if you have come across these but its were roads meet together they can be a nightmare on bikes at times, but the bones has know problems getting around them. I have lowered my Bones and put aftermarket shorter springs on, this hasn't made any difference to the ride comfort, buy the Bones you won't regret it

I'm definately a big fan of the bones. It just looks bad ***. I've taken her on some good long rides and have no complaints about the seat. Its a fun ride.

love mine too. been on many non-stop 100-150+ mile rides without issue. the seat seems to get more comfortable with more riding. it handles well and love the look. never had a springer before this one and i would never go back now to regular fork tubes. put some V&H straightshots on and now it sounds awesome too! go for it...

HI
I'm new to this forum, I just picked up My new crossbones yesterday, I was in an accident with my sportster (love affairfor 10 years) But as soon as I saw the bones I fell in love all over again...
It is an awesome ride, but I would like to lower it a bit, I love the seat and I don't want to change it, I read a post that talked about lower springs for the seat, can someone please tell me where I can find these? I was also told it has the same frame as the softail delixe (already lowered) any help would be appriaciated!
Thanks

I bought my RKC last june. If the X Bones had been available then, I would have bought it instead. I love the RKC, but had to get a Bones last month. I love it. Seating position is a bit high but other than that, its a trip. Get one, you won't regret it.
