Awesome! I was just thinking about doing something like this last week. There are no quick disconnect sissy bars in stock for my 16 slim right now anywhere that I can find.

Second time around for me going with a Forge LLC sissy bar, great workmanship. About $180 for an 18" or 24" bar that doesn't have the quick release hardware. This is an 18" that was in stock and took less than one week to be delivered.

Its about effin' time someone thought of this... Thanks for posting that Steven! I have been scratching my head on this sort of thing for-almost-ever. Without having to permanently mount one of those co$tly doesn't-quite-suit my needs, I can see doing something like this for the occasional 'need-it'.

Thanks again.

2125 miles from SW Utah to Sturgis and back. No problems whatsoever and it was loaded pretty good. $40 for the two racks from Walmart.

Steven, Is that the Diamondback "Quick Release Cling-On Seatpost" Model "
72-32-100 72-32-100
" ?

I also got a Forge LLC (Joe and Lela) Twisted 24" (I freaking love it ;^)

Did you have to do anything for
- mount fitting adjust?
- angle? (since it couples to a sloping bar)

It says it is rated at 20lbs, but looks more heavy duty than that. Was your back heavuily loaded?

...hope you had a great time at Sturgis ;^)...

Hey thanks bud, had a great time. It's the Diamondback Bicycle Rack-Bolt On Cling-On Seatpost, Black. I bought it thru Walmart so I could return it if it didn't work for me.
I put rubber gaskets inside the mount brackets and it tightened up well on my 5/8" bar. It didn't leave one scratch on my sissy bar. The rack's angle works also assuming your bar is angled back. I probably had 40-50 lbs sitting on those racks with no problems. Tried and tested, works great. Good luck!

That's just straight up genius right there!
