Default Keeping Fatboy

Well I was trying to sell the Fatboy for a while now (6 months), I ride the Street Glidemore, but no serious hits. I guess I was asking what I thought it was worth, but the market is flooded, so I'm keeping it. I got a set of Heritage bars, new mirrors, grips, Kuriakyn(spelling?) markIV pegs and the laydown plate from Hogrida on the way. Hopefully next week all parts will have arrived and I can do some minor upgrades. I am Looking forward to doing the mods and changing the look a bit.... I will post before and after pics when I get it done. I saw that Babs fatboy had Heritage bars (one of the resons I am switching), I like the look, kind of mini apes, plus he says no new cables needed. Is that a pretty easy thing to do to change out the bars? I already have a touring service manual, but I need to pick up a softail one. Thanks

I can relate, sorta. Last couple of years I was starting to get a bit bored with my bike. I'd really like a street glide or a road king but couldn't justify starting over with a new bike. So, I did some mods last summer and it re-sparked the love affair. The biggest change was going from black tins to the yellow. I just got done putting a nacelle on it a few minutes ago. It's like a whole new bike.

Those pipes are no longer on the bike. The front heat shield chrome started bubbleing this spring out of no where and V&H wanted $110 for a new one. I ended up getting a set of Bub chambermaids which are a tad longer but otherwise the same style. I need to get some updated pics.

That was pretty much my thought as well. I told the guy "I might as well buy new pipes." and he said "Well you can do that." So I said "Fine I will and it won't be V&H." I was pretty ticked, but oh well.
