You really have to feel whats best for you, stupid answer, but everyone has a different opinion as a result of hight, weight, body type, riding style, around town, long distance,,,etc. You really have to sit on a few.

Because I am a cheap BStrd, and the dealer wanted about $700 to change out cables, and install mini apes on my 05 fatboy, I ended up buying the chrome heritage bars($50), and replaced just the brake line with stainless($60).all other cables fit fine...the best $110 I have spent on the bike, but like I said, and we all know, it is preference. I can't figure out how some people ride a few hundred miles with some of the bar setups they have, but they all love em....I like the heritage bars, and then you will see the heritage guys wanting to change those out..
long winded, but my opinion,,,good luck

i really like apes on fatboys and deluxes. i put some 12" apes on my bike after seeing some on these bikes, but i just dont think they fit the look of a night train. a fatboy or deluxe tho, they are perfect!!

I sat on my bike and held my hands where I would feel comfortable and measured them in comparison to the stock location of the grips. My measurements were back 2", up 1" and width about the same. ThenI called Wild1 and told them what I was looking for and they matched me up with the W518. Everybody has a different preference for what they consider a comfortable position but this method worked real well for me. I bought blems for a substantial discount and the blemish was the size of a pin tip on the underside of the bars. Hope that helps.

With your height, I would assume that you also have very long arms. My arms are pretty long and I have Cubbies 504 bars and love them, they are lower than stock a bit wider. I would say that they are a Semi-beach bar and very comfortable.

Im 6' 3" and have the Wild Ones 504 and really like them, but I also have a C & C seat that lowered me at least an inch. But if you want more height I would go with the 518 unless you are set on Apes.

I'm only 5'9" and the street slammers are plenty comfortable, and look really good. I haven't been on a trip that was more than three hours at a time, but up to that amount of time I haven't had any trouble. I've got a friend your size with Wild1 chubbies that wook well for him. He went with a higher riser and more pullback than mine.

Clean sweeps with a 9" rise. Perfect for me. 5'9". Stay with a 9" rise for your height if you decide on drag's.
