rocker c seat problem
i just noticed that under the seat is a black plastic peice that is supposed to connect i guess to two pins that the passenger seat bracket rotates on when you pull it out. i have put that peice back on the pins twice now and when you sit on the seat after a while the peice gets pushed off the pins.. this piece is the back end of the seat compartment and im afraid it will warp if it doesnt stay on the pins. anybody have that problem or can someone look at thier seat and tell me if that piece actually goes onto the pins
The piece does go through the pins. I noticed that it popped out of the pins when I tried riding without the passenger seat stowed under the seat. It allowed the seat to put too much pressure on that piece and thus came off of the pins. Since I found the seat uncomfortable without the passenger seat, I added it back in and the plastic piece has stayed on.
flyburch, i looked at mine and if i understandthe partyou are talking about it does have 2 clips that snap around the two pins on the bracket of the passenger seat mount, i have not had a problem with this as of yet, it is still securely in place. you may want to talk to your dealer if it continues to happen. if you still need some help you can take a pic and let me see exactly whic part you are talking about, but i think im talking about the same thing
good luck with that and let us know how it turns out

I only have 300 miles on mine and the plastic piece has un -snapped 4 times already, I also have problems with the rubber groments the seat latches down on..........Think I willpay the dealer a visit when I get back from M-B bike week......
no problem with the gromets just that peice that hooks on the pins. it might be where i end up slideing back on the seat.

Ok fellas....
For those of you who are having this problem....first and foremost, make sure you put the passenger pillion back under the riders seat. If your passenger pillion is inside, and you're still having the problem, make sure you have the pillion inserted with the latch toward the front of the bike (it actually will fit in both ways, but make sure it matches the diagram). When the pad is inserted correctly, the two posts that stick out of the sides will just barely fit between the mounting bracket arms, and the pegs on the rider's seat will fit perfectly into the rubber grommets. Go check yours out and make sure this is the case. Hope this helps.

its not a problem with the grommets. its the back of the trick seat compartment the plastic wall that hooks onto the two pins the trick seat bracket rotates around.. i think i slide back on the seat i just went out and pushed down on the top of the back side of the seat and you can see the plastic plate flex not sure what to do but keep scooting forward all the time. I saw on an earley review of the rocker c that the person testing it said that they slid back on the seat and not on the regular rocker seat .
I slide back onto the very rear of the seat when I ride too, but the only time I ever have that plastic plate come off the pins is when the pillion pad is either not inserted, or is inserted incorrectly. Sorry man....don't know what to tell ya then.
