I bought my deluxe in September of 2004 and i am just about done. three years and about $20,000 dollars later here i am still at it. my latest addition is the headlight nacelle and the v style passing lamp bar. I attempted another install of an air ride system and it had a problem. I am still getting over the five month ordeal i had with the legends system so i officially declare air ride systems nothing but trouble and i am done with them for ever. the few things i still have on my list are the front and rear fender rails which i have all ready purchased and still thinking on how i will put them on without drilling holes. i know some riders are just letting the front bracket hang but i do not like that idea and i will come up with something like maybe an epoxy or something else that will keep it in place and still be able to remove it if needed. I also have the rear v style turn signal bar but need to find some turn signals that will closely match the stock harley ones with the eyebrow style and smoked lens. I still have the thought of having a kick start put on mostly for that old look. I do not think i want to be kicking my built 95 that could be dangerous. I am sure ill find a few things along the way but at this point i am very close to being done. I want to keep the original paint and badges which are both trade marks of the deluxe. one look and any one who knows bikes can tell its a deluxe. I have gotten ideas from the forum and also have given some. I was one of the first to have the fat daddy"s on my deluxe if not the first which is one of my favorite mods. any way here is a updated picture with the nacelle in place.
Nikon, As I have said before you have one nice looking bike, I noticed that you have the same rotors as Moggsy or he the same as you, can you tell me the make, cost and who you got they from. (American wire spoke type) Mark @ M&M ????? COST ???? I have tried to answer some of my questions but I do like to make sure I order the right items first time.
Iwill start with them and then think about the fat Daddy's
I made my purchase from mark at M&M cycle i Do not remember the prices but they are American wire rotors hog halters calipers and the American wire rear sprocket which i remember was close to five hundred dollars. if you call mark at M&M just tell him to look up my parts he knows me by Mike from Connecticut.. i also would like to thank the members who have given me favorable comments on my ride its always a nice feeling
