Default Deuce vs. Deluxe

I am days away from buying a new Harely, but cannot decide between the Deuce or the Deluxe. I read a few reviews that were critical of the Deuce. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Deuce.

I always say Deluxe, and I'm trying something different on for size.

Seriously though, they are so different. It seems like an odd 2 to be choosing between.

I do seem to see a lot of posts from people complaining of the lack of aftermarket parts for the deuce.

I just ordered a Deluxe, but they are both great, just TOTALLY different. The Duece is more of a Badass ride and the Deluxe more of a nostalgic mojo type ride. The Deluxe has floorboards, semi forward and the Deuce has full forward pegs. The Deluxe has fat front and rear tires, the Duece, fat rear, skinny front. The Duece will have a bit more cornering clearance/lean angle but has a more raked front and skinny forks that are longer, so it won't track leaned over with as much stability.

So, as you can see, they are a bit like comparing apples and oranges, but with the same drive train and transmission.

If you go sit on them, you will see that the ergos are quite different. I think that if you ask around, in GENERAL, the Deluxe will be thought of as a more comfortable ride for longer distances.

If you have a dealer that will let you test ride them, you would probably know in about 15 minutes which one is right for you. They really are quite different.

If you were comparing a softail standard and the Duece or the Night Train and the Duece, it would be a tighter comparison.

Good luck.

Bones

I've gotta vote Deuce. Good luck with whichever one you choose. I agree on one point, however.... aftermarket parts are harder to come by for the Deuce, but you won't need as many parts... there's so much chrome to start with.
