I just purchased my Rocker and I've had big problem with the license plate mount blocking the view of that beatiful rear fender. I removed the original bracket and moved it to a sidemount (easy and free mod). Now the only dilema I am having is what to do with whats left over. Any ideas??
nice job on the plate
I spoke to the salesman today and i ask him the same question. He to me there might be some revit to cover eack hole "so he told me" aswell there is one guy on this forum that put some .50 bullet shells, it looked cool. Good luck and don't forget to show us the final product.
Take note on the stock mounting bracket where the reflector mounts to the brackety. Take off the reflectorshorten that piece of the bracket by 1" and drill a new hole. Then put the bracket in a bench vice and bend that leg of the bracket 90 degrees. Now you can paint the bracket and it will mount directly to the exsisting belt guard bolt. Very quick and easy. I know it's not as custom as other brackets out there, but when your savings account was just drained on a deposit (like mine) it works for a budget fix. Hope that helps.
That looks great. What about a light for the plate, I believe it is required. I'm having my fender done now, I will post pics and let you know what I did when its complete.
Personally I was hoping someone would come out with a low profile LED tail light that has about the same shape and mounting holes.
I would then turn the turn/tail lights into turn signal only.
Let the tail light be the tail light.
Then side mount the plate with a nice LED.
Also I don't think this plate mod is legal in any of the 50 states
For 500 dollars the dealer took my tag and relocated it to the side. They also removed the entire housing, filled the holes and painted it. It looks great. Picking it up tomm and will try an post pics.
Hi. Thanks for the compliment. Yeah that under the seat license mod was an idea I was playing with until I converted my bracket. By the way, how do you get the pictures to show up in the thread like that??
