I'm cool with that. Can't wait to see the leather on the bike. BTW, is that oil cooler the HD one or Jagg or something? Also, you just when with the standard HD Stage 1 download...right? Have you been satisfied with just the download...does it run ok or fart a lot or what? I heard somewhere that HD modified the stage 1 about a year ago to make it richer, but I don't remember where I read that. I talked to V&H yesterday and they still don't have a fuelpak that fits properly on the XBones without modifying stuff to get it to work. They also surprised me by saying that only the Short Shots and the RSD Tracker is the only pipes that will fit the XBones that they will stand behind the fit on....something about too close to painted parts, etc. for the other styles. I really don't understand why though, the XBones looks just like a Softail Custom in the area where the pipes would be.

Well, as you probably know, I originally installed the fuel pak then went with the stage one download. Install on the fuel pak went without a hitch, and I THOUGHT the thing ran great. I did get it to fit, but had to cut the under side of the plastic cover over the battery and mount the Fuel Pak ontop of the battery. I was happy with the install, and just wanted a dyno done to make sure I wasn't gonna hurt the bike by running to lean or something. Well, they put the bike on dyno, and it showed lean. It was popping a bit with the Fuel Pak, but nothing you wouldn't expect with such short pipes. I really like the guys at my dealership, and they really have taken an interest in my bones, since it was the first sold in Cali. Well, they called V & H to get some info on how they could get it better, but they never called them back. I actually got someone on the phone, and he said, basically said, if there isn't a obvious problem, there is nothing to tweak. So, the dealer could do nothing, and were conviced it was running too lean. They had me down for two hours of Dyno, which was $190, I said, what about the stage 1 download. They said, it would work perfectly for what I was doing. (nothing more than stage one air cleaner, and pipes) They said it'd take 10 mins and $150. They ended up only charging me .5 hours of dyno, and I sold the Fuel Pak for $150 on here, so I was about even. They wheeled it out to me, with a big grin, claiming, she's running good now. And dammit if they weren't right. Totally different bike. Runs cooler, and less popping. Really no popping, but if I decel rapidly with clutch engaged, I can get a hint of a pop. But she runs so good now. Night and day difference. This is just my experiece with the crossbones. I'm sure people have had great success with their pak. But, I can tell you for sure, you won't be disapointed with the download.

Oh... Tnh.. I used the HD Oil Cooler. Instructions are a bit backward, but like the thing now that it's on...
