I've read here by others that 950 to 1050 is accurate. I have a PCIII and my RPM's are in that range. It doesn't idle at say 950, it varies between 950 and 1050. The EFI models idle higher. Hope that helps.

Idle is not adjustable on EFI bikes as far as I know.

I just installed a tach on my 02 and according to the service manual idle should be between 1000 and 1050 on the efi model. I also have the pcIII and stage 1 download and had the bike through the 20k service a few weeks ago. Probably doesn't pertain to the 07/08 model but figured any info is helpful.

You can adjust the idle on EFI bikes, but you need to use a SERT on the stock ECM or replace it with one that you can reprogram like the Thundermax.
I have a TMax in my bike and dropped it down to about 900so it has that nice lumpy idle the oldercarbed EVO's and Shovelhead's had.

Pres1, love the paint job. Side question. Wanting to add AUX. lighting up front. Obviously, between the HD deluxe with turn signals and the Fatboy version without signals. Are you happy with your setup or would you recommend the more expensive deluxe version? I kind of like the signals on the handlebars. I can see they're reflection in the headlight and it's easy to see when they're on. Do you have any pics from the front of your bike?

That's funny you say that. I just got done moving my signals down below the aux lighting. At first, I liked the signals up, but now I just think it cleans up the bars. Good luck with your new toy.
