I tried raising the gas tank higher than one inch, but many of the wires and mountings become exposed. Maybe a new gas tank? The only problem, I think with all the changes so far, placing a new gas tank will officially change the bike from being called a rocker. Is that crazy? I don't know! [sm=escape.gif][sm=escape.gif]
bummer,is there a way to tuck them wires or silicone under the tank? boy what a setback .....for now
semi ignore last statement,i looked @ wire /spaghetti mess where your tank would go,what bout raising
that tank 1" or does that not do any justice?the bike really screams for a tank lift
I went out for a ride on my 2005 Deuce on Saturday. Stopped at a local HD shop to look at some leather. Left with a 2008 Rocker C. Now I can't tell anyone what kind of bike I have without feeling like I am bragging.
Can you guys not enjoy the rocker as is for a little while. "I can't wait to make more changes". Keep going, and it won't look like a rocker anymore. I, for one, am enjoying my rocker as is.
If I lift the tank I will have a piece of steel welded onto the frame to duplicate where the wires are currently mounted. Then mount the wires onto the new addition and set my tank on top.
