Also, when I'm going down the interstate, the wind blows my knees out, after a while, this really causes some discomfort. Do the wind deflectors help with this?
Thanks for the help.
Hope you were able to have some valuable time while your daughter was home on leave.
Yes, they work great. Rode 45,000 miles on my 99 Heritagewithout them. Put them on my 07 Heritage at about 2,000 miles, now at 12,000 and wouldn't ride without them. They do block some of the wind coming at the knees and really help with the buffeting. But what kind of windwhield do you have? That may make a difference.
wife has them on her bike, they work great with windshield, but without it really blows the wind in your face. she loves them. I'm a no windshield kinda of guy so I dont personally have them.
I've got the windshield that came with the essentials package. I guess it's the big one. Not much of a fan riding short trips with the windshield, but when I ride distance, I'm all about comfort.
I guess they look okay without the windshield, I'll deal with it. What am I looking at as far as cost?

YEP,my daughter & I had a great time.... she's been in country (Korea) for about a week - and loves it! thanks.
no pictures - but, I'll roll it out tomorrow morning and shoot a couple. I guess it's the combination of the windshield and the wind deflectors - I get almost NO wind buffeting. however, when I put my feet out on the highway pegs, I do then. my legs act like diverters.
I was just looking at a set today at the dealer. I have the bullet turn signals mounted under passing lamps, and could not get a solid answer if they would work or not. Had him open the package and took one out to my bike to check fitment. It would attach but it seemed to be backwards to me. The only way for it to mount made the deflectors curve forward instead of backwards which seemed the logical way they should be mounted. The instructions made no mention or showed no pictures of which one was starboard and which was port. I asked if there were any rental bikes, customer bikes in the shop with some mounted, we proceeded into the shop and found a RK with them mounted one way and a HC mounted the other way? I am more confused now than when I walked in? [:@] I have also looked at the Kury deflectors on the website, but can't decipher very much from the pic. They also do not show the installation instructions. Guess I will wait for the ROT Rally next week and visit Kury and see what these babies are all about. I'm still interested as I have a long trip planned this summer and more comfort is always welcome, but a new UC is out of the question!
