Default speedo question

i have a 96 springer, my speedo is 5 miles too fast until you get around 60-65 mph then its pretty accurate, (i have a gps to check the speed)ive changed the speedo sensor, still the same, the speedo needle sits on 4 mph when the bike is turned off, is thier anything that can be done to fix it or do i have to get a new speedo? all the speedos ive found i have to have some kind of retrofit kit for it and the dealers ive checked with said that part has been on backorder for some time, thanks

Default RE: speedo question

check if the odometer is correct. I also have found gps to be off as much as 2mph. i went with smaller back tire and it was just right. now back to Harley tire and 2mph off but the odometer is correct so no big deal.
