I know this could be posted somewhwere else but I trust my softail peps. Anyone own a schott leather?&\\;nbsp\\; Worth the $ and hows the fit run big or small?&\\;nbsp\\; Lookong at a deal online not sure what to do.
I own a Stallion horsehide jacket which is made by Schott's though they don't put thier name on it. It is a repro of the old "D" pocket horsehides.
To get it to fit in the shoulders for me the fit ended up being rather large overall, but I have a 31 inch waist so it is not uncommon. I am lucky to have a great, but expensive tailor. The jacket overall fit more like a 42 through the body and sleeves.
I own 3 Schott leathers (a model 141, 100, and 641-thanks faber) and I wouldn't wear anything else. \\;\\\\\\; The 641(Steerhide) is cut on the original patterns and fits like a glove, they reccommend ordering a size up from your regular size i.e. if you wear a 44 then order a 46. The 141's \\;\\\\\\; (naked cowhide, not as nice as the steerhide) patterns were "redesigned" in 1998 to offer a little more room, so if you go that route I would order your regular size. \\;\\\\\\; The 100 is cut like a Levi's jacket and is the same in sizes as the 141. \\;\\\\\\; I can not give any data on the 118 style.  \\;\\\\\\;
I own a Schott jacket, fits like a glove, made in the U.S.A., sleeves are a little long but that is for riding. I love it and can't imagine wearing anything else!
