Default Service Intervals?

I have a 2007 Deluxe, what are the required service intervals?&nbsp\\; I had the 1000 mile done last year and my dealer is telling me I need a 2000 mile service?&nbsp\\; I cant believe these things need service every 1000 miles, I thought the services were 2500 or 5000 mile intervals?

Didn't you get an owners manual?&nbsp\\; All the service requirements should be listed in it.

If you are worried about it, get a copy of the maintenance manual. When and what is spelled out.

I would change the oil at least once a year regardless of the mileage.

Dealer's pissing down your leg.&nbsp\\; If you don't have an owners manual, you can go to the Harley website, enter your VIN and it will give you the service schedule.

You should change the oil every 6 months.&nbsp\\; Even if you don't ride it.&nbsp\\; It gets the moisture out.&nbsp\\; Or you can just replace the enging sooner instead.
