My cousin (05 Deluxe) has the removable luggage rack. But when he isn't using it he has the chrome covers which og over the docking hardware.

I got the detatchable sissy bar and i'm looking for the detachable saddle bag mounts I think they are great you are able to change the look and function of the bike without a lot of fuss or tools.Great idea If anyone knows of an attachment to mount a luggage rack on the sissybar any info would be appreciated

Nighttrain, most of the H-D luggage racks bolt right on to the same bolt holes where the sissybar bolts to the detachable sideplates. If you are going with a solo seat and need a luggage rack, there are some aftermarket ones out there that bolt into where the passenger seat fastens.
With my Heritage Springer, I can strip the bike completely to solo in less than ten minutes with all the detachable stuff...windshield, rear seat, sissybar/luggage rack, and saddlebags.

At first I thought all the detachable stuff was cheesy, and I wasn't sure how it would look on my bike. But now that I have a detachable windshield and sissybar, it's awsome. You don't even notice the docking points,
I've read several comments about the exposed docking points. I used 100yrfatboy's green bike to show the docking points uncovered.

For those that don't know, HD makes magnetic covers that cover these and I have them on my Deluxe (lower picture).

Here they are on the HD site and a picture of them, really cleans the bike up when you're not using the detachables. $34.95 is not cheap for 4 small magnetic covers, but I've ridden 3,000 miles or so, once to Sturgis and back and they never fell off.
