Car in front braked suddenly and within the split second I tried to stop, \\;my front brake lever went limp. I collided into the car bumper and bike went down. \\;Bike is beat up but not extreme. \\; Anyways, while checking the brake \\;I found that \\;pumping on the lever, the pressure returns. Letting it sit for a while, the pressure disappears and \\;no \\;more brake again.
 \\;
At this time the insurance company is waiting for a quote from the dealer. I just had \\;the 20k mile (32 thou km.) major service done about two weeks ago and had no problems until this incident.
 \\;
Does this brake problem \\;sound like an issue with the master cylinder?
Anyone have this issue and \\;have the dealer \\;take responsibility?
 \\;
Facing a \\;$1000 deductible and no bike for the rest of the summer.
 \\;
BTW, first post but been hanging around for awhile.

2000 FXSTI fire red pearl.
 \\;
Did not see any \\;bubbles in the line, although it feels \\;like air in there. \\;At the time, was dealing with tow trucks, car owner, insurance etc. so might be. \\;Bike was towed to shop and I will try to get back there tomorrow. Im a bit sore and a few scratches, but ok, mostly hurt my ego, as trusted my bike \\;over anything. I never worked on the front brakes, only changed the hose on the rear brake for a braided one myself. \\; Front \\;feels like when you bleed them and dont tighten the nipple and pull on the lever again.
