If you don't mind losing your warranty the above kits from other suppliers will give you extra bang for the buck. \\; I would stick to SE parts and dealer install during warranty. \\; I will look into more engine mods once the warranty period ends. \\; Its just not worth the hassle if something does go wrong. \\;

I agree. \\; that's what i did. \\; and the goofy thing is, to maintain your warranty, even with the SE 103 kit, you have to get it installed at the time of the new bike delivery-can't do it after the fact.....they have this pasted on each page of the SE upgrade manual where the upgrade kits are.
 \\;
Of course, I just recently added a power commander III and BR 2-1 exhaust to take full advantage of the my upgrades. \\; if a warranty issue ever comes up, I would have to put my stock exhaust and factory/103ci ECM load back in.
 \\;
I'm not a motorhead and depend on HD completely to resolve any mechanical issues I might have...
hey knightrider who did the work indy or STEALER??? and what it set you back ? \\;\\\\\\; parts and labor?
 \\;
 \\;
got it installed at the dealer.
 \\;
bought the kit off of ebay for \\;$600 and the dealer installed it and ported the heads and throttle body for $1093\\
 \\;
so $1693 total for parts and labor
What kind of fuel mileage are you guys getting out of the 103" kit? I'm getting 42 mpg with the stock 96". I want more power, but if it's going to drop me down to 30 mpg I may consider not upgrading.
I dealt with Steve and Michelle at GMR performance. He doesn't exactly keep his website updated but thats because they are very busy. Good experience with my 88 to 98 upgrade a few years ago.
Fuel Mileage.....When I 1st did my 103", I averaged 33 mpg \\;until I hit about 1,000 miles, and it's been getting better ever since. \\; I have 1,800 miles on this build, and I averaged 42 mpg on Monday (Rode 170 miles for Million Mile Monday).
I went a little further with my 103 build and added SERT to replace the PCIII, an S&\\;\\\\\\;S gear drive and 510 cams, I also had some new floating discs installed but it in total was about $4500. \\;\\\\\\; I can tell you that it really hunts over 3000 rpm and pulls up big long hills at high altitude with acceleration to spare. \\;\\\\\\; Its a horse ...
 \\;\\\\\\;
I had about 80/88 before the build, has not been on the dyno yet, but its got to be 95/100 plus if not more based on the difference in ride. \\;\\\\\\; The biggest difference is the unrelenting pull capability in any gear, even 6th.
 \\;
And I got about 42/43 mpg over a 2000 mile ride.
