HI Guys,
 \\;
I am looking for a new Ultima 6 speed for a 1990 Softail Custom, I want one with the case and all, a bolt in deal, and going to use the Ultima Belt Primary as well. \\; I have tried to find one for a decent price but some on Ebay, none the less want you to buy the whole deal and just swap the gearsets, not going to do that, want the deal to just bolt in with no issues and no gearset swap. \\; Any of you folks know anybody that sells these items. \\; Reasonable as well, seen em for about 560 for the trans, should be able to come to a deal around that. \\; Let me know if you guys know of any, and thanks ahead of time.
Had a buddy put one in a 2001 about a year ago and didnt take 6 months till he blew it and took 2 more months till they shipped the parts to waranty it so reaserch and make sure he is just an isolated event sometimes its true what they say about you get what you pay for
I'd go with the Baker or the Screamin Eagle. \\; Baker pretty much wrote the book
on these 6 speeds (Hell, they prob make the Screamin Eagle one.
 \\;
I'd like the HD 5 spd ratio's w/the "extra" gear.
I like the Baker too but the price is just way out but I might end up there eventually if I can't get enough reassurance of the Ultima, I just want the good case too, I don't want to spend a bunch on transferring stuff to a marginal case with the power I have now, have heard good stuff about the screaming eagle gearsets, just don't know how much juice they will take in a motor. \\; I really want a good unit to just bolt in.
