New Rocker Needs Customizations
I have about 100 miles on the Stage II and I have been good keeping the speed and RPMs low during the break-in period. Now my new Rocker C needs a few customizations (V&\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;H pipes, SERT, relocate license plate, etc...) performed by someone I know and trust, but is 400 miles away (round trip and mostly interstate). Should I:
ChosenDFW,
The most important fact in this equation for me is the "trust" factor. Since that is established the only question is how to get it to him. If you think there will be enough opportunity to vary the speed during your route.... then drive it there. If not, I would trailer it. My understanding is that varying the speed is the most important issue with the break-in.
P.S. Would not let me vote either.

ChosenDFW, who did the Stage II ? The mods you mentioned doing are pretty straight forward, I would just have the dealer do it. If you have some unsual mods that require thought and some creativity then haul the bike to your friend, he will take the time to do it right.

The dealer in Big Springs, TX (where I bought the bike) did the Stage II. The only unusual mod is a PCIII mounted on the bike

Get the parts and have the local dealer do it, or pick one that is not so far away. \\; You need to find a local dealer to do stuff. \\; You can't always consider running 400 miles to get stuff done. \\; It's not practical in any way. \\; \\;Get to know \\;the local guy. \\; You might wind up likeing them even better. \\;
