Default idle speed

Idle speed on 07 fxstc. Seems to hang, settles eventualy. Havin it set up by a friend by PC. What is the ideal RPM on my bike. The later bikes tick over quicker for oil pump reasons, but mine seems to race. Any advice would be appreciated.

Default RE: idle speed

If the engine is really cold you should idle at 1.5 - 1.9 and then rest down to 0.9 - 1.1 (rpm times 100)
if the engine is warm and idle is still high then It could be three things:
temp. reader of the engine head
sensor of the position of the throtle
or you have a fuel pak (or similar) which is wrongly set up

I think the service manual says 900 to 1100 rpm at warm idle...
