08 deluxe used a pep boys jack to change oils and might of raised the bike on the shocks, now when i push down on rear suspension i hear a squeaking noise possibly from shocks, is it possibly a bent rod on shock from raising on the shocks. the ride seems fine to me and can\\;t hear when bike is running
What you cannot hear cannot hurt you.
If however you did damage the shocks and the budget allows it might be
time for a set of progressive 422"s, If not in the buget I have a pair of stock shocks \\;off a
07 night train with less than 500 mile on them, you pay the freight and
they are yours.
Deluxe uses the low profile shocks. The ones from the train will raise it an inch.
You should never jack up on the shocks. U need to buy the orange frame protector things... can't remember the name of them now... and always jack up on those as to clear the shocks.
If you did bend one... I would prolly just ride on it and keep an eye on it for leaking. Make a decision then.
Try to put or wipe a little oil on the shock shafts that should help tell if its the shocks or something else is squeeking as the oil will lube the seal that normally does the squeeking.
 \\;
rockerhead, if you want to get rid of those shocks PM me, I could use a better pair \\;when the wife likes to ride along with me. I think the stockers might be a little light duty for the two of us on a lot of the should be labeled 'under construction' roads around here.
i went to my local dealer to get the frame protectors, and the guy pretty much said that jacking my bike up w/o the protectors isnt goin to hurt anything..had it on th jack numerous times, no problems yet....
