Mandatory?
You'll have top excuse my ignorance here; I've always been a sportbike guy & just sold my Triumph Daytona 955i. Im going to be getting an '06 Night Train!!!! Is there anything that I should immediately upgrade or what should I be preparing myself to be upgrading very shortly after purchase?
The Night Train definitely is not a sport bike! I just went from an '03 Speed Triple to my '02 Train last weekend. Although it's freakin' cold and raining around here, I've put about 100 miles on the new bike, and I love it! No more weight on my arms (probly worse on your Daytona), good power (altho nothing like the Triple!), and mine, having an inverted Ceriani fork and billet wheels, seems to handle very well. You're going to notice the loss of "instant power", but the Harley torque will get you there. It's just not as sudden as the Trumpet engine. Going to an HD simply requires re-thinking your riding style into a relaxed mode. Have fun, and ride safe!
SE or Arlen Ness big sucker air cleaner and high flow exhaust first 2 items.
I had SE slip on mufflers but have replaced them with Vance and Hines
Big Radius exhaust system, I love he look and the sound.
