Mandatory?
You'll have top excuse my ignorance here; I've always been a sportbike guy & just sold my Triumph Daytona 955i. Im going to be getting an '06 Night Train!!!! Is there anything that I should immediately upgrade or what should I be preparing myself to be upgrading very shortly after purchase?
maybe loose the sport bike leathers
they don`t look cool on the harley.. hehehe welcome to family. theres lots you`ll want but realy need..thats up to you. i had to have the forword controls moved ahead for my legs or i`d cramp up bad.. i`d say what you need is a phat check book.. then it`s all yours

I agree loose the power ranger get up first. Then get some pipes, air cleaner and a lowering kit then let your check book decide what you should do from there. Welcome to the forum if you can't find an answer to HD issues here, its a real problem.
First off, congrats on the new Train. The first thing that I did and it was recommended by others, was to get the Stage 1 upgrade with remap and new pipes. The stage 1 will help the performance and the pipes will make it sound better than stock. I have been told that stock isn't the sound that most people desire on a Harley. Good luck
Welcome, The Night Train is a great choice. I'm on a pretty limited budget, so all I've done since getting my Train last year was pick up a different seat (way more comfortable) and a removable sissybar/luggage rack for the outa town rides with the wife. I used a hole saw and cut the baffles out of my pipes for a little noise, but will eventually step up to the stage 1 with pipes and air cleaner. ENjoy your Train, I love mine.

As the others had posted, welcome, now take a deep breath, count to 10, and relax, don't be tempted by the Stealer[sm=noooo.gif], or anyone else, to buy every shiny, eagle encrusted bauble that H.D. sells, just because they produce a chrome do-da for every nut & bolt on your new bike,(and they do!) doesn't make for a tasteful ride, sometimes more is less, if you know what I mean! Whatever look you want to achieve stick to it, good luck, post some pics and let us all see![sm=icon_cheers.gif]
