Default any problem

I am embarrased to say that I haven't reached 1,000 miles yet; but heck...I've been hard at work since Iraq. My question is this: I have 800 miles.....I'm going on a little ride this weekend with some friends. I have an appt with HD next week for the first service. They said it would be okay if I'm over 1,000 a little. I've heard so many horror stories about warranty, etc......just wanted u guys opinions. Do I have to be at 999.9 miles or less.......if I'm over....they say "no problem"

I'm only using them because the first service is over $100 off (coupon)

You shouldn't have any problem with it.

If you're in doubt, call the dealer. They'll let you know.

I was in a similar situation with my Harley last year. I live about 90 miles from the dealer and I wanted to take advantage of good riding weather. I called the dealer and he said not to worry about it if it was a little over. I covered myself by calling the mechanic and it eased my mind about the issue. Worked for me, good luck.

When I bought the FB I had scheduled my 1000 mile service when I picked it up, it was the following Monday. I asked if it would be a big deal if I was a little over and they said no. When I showed up for the app. with 1300 miles they did not say a word, except where the he!! did you ride? I think you will be plenty fine if your a little over.
