OK, I have the same stuck shifter problem that is prevalent in the 2006/2007 softtails. I read some other posts about removing the heel and toe shifters and removing the shaft they mount to. Before \\;I get home tonight and do this, any words of wisdom? How does it come out? Is it necessary to ream out the plastic housing it fits in? Is neverseize the best lubricant to put on it after it is clean?
I just spray mine down with a little WD-40 from time to time. \\; I usually lube my jiffy stand at the same time.
 \\;
I can get hit with light sand blowing in the wind (cause we're not far from the beach) and I get that "gritty" feeling in the kickstand which reminds me to lube everything.
 \\;
There's not much to pulling the shifter housing apart. \\; I would try \\;soaking with \\;WD-40 or some sort of silicone spary before pulling things apart. \\; For me, I think the neverseize would be too thick.
