Been running Amsoil 20/50 since the breakin......I change every 3000 regardless. Small price for the "insurance" it provides your engine.&nbsp\\;

Your dealer just told you a big fat lie and does not deserve your business.&nbsp\\; You can do your own service.&nbsp\\; Just keep receipts of the filter and oil.&nbsp\\; I take a pic of the speedo and the fileter and oil along side the bike when it is on the lift.&nbsp\\; Then keep it in a file.

Call HD they will confirm that you can do your own service.&nbsp\\; Also READ your warrenty.&nbsp\\; It is a written contract between you and the MoCo.&nbsp\\; the dealer has noting to do with it.

I'm get po'd at all the unethical harley dealers out there.&nbsp\\; I won't go back to my selling dealer it he gave stuff away.

Go with what HD reccommends. Stay with the service schedule in case a warranty issue comes up.
