The clunk started about 1903. In the '30's - 70's it was more of a Ka-bang, my '78 does it with 90wt gear lube.

the clunk is a wonderful thing!&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; it's one of the reasons my wife bought a Sporty 1200 custom instead of a V-Rod.....

There is a different clunk between gears.&nbsp\\; Lets you know which gear you just shifted to.

I just purchased some Redline Heavy Shockproof for the Tran and Redline MTL for the Primary. I may put it in this weekend. Will let you know if it makes a difference.
