I swapped the 20" (or so) tall H-D shield that came on my Heritage to a 17" Memphis Shades. Though looking through the tall shield wasn't too bad, I really like being able to see over the top.

I don't know about the Memphis Shades mounting system as the one I have was just the plastic...it uses the H-D strips and brackets.

 

Thanks alot for all the feed back, I think I will start out with a tall Memphis and go from there. Since the only time I for see using w/s on long trips.

I just returned from Daytona and I have the tall and do look through it - it was fine. My buddy has a new Heritage and has the shorter version - looks over it. I think it is personal preferance. I've been in some intense rain with it and it seemed fine but then, I didn't have the short version to compare - I do like the looks of the shorter one I admit. I might really like the tall one though when LOVE BUG season arrives - for you folks from the north, you just got to experience these little suckers!!!
