Default Thinking Fat Boy

I am thinking of selling my 02 RK and getting a Fat Boy. Will the Fat Boy be easier to ride and manuver? I have a little trouble keeping up with other riders on the curves. I want a bike that is comfortable on the freeway, easy on corners and parking and can be customized. Thanks for the help!

In a word, YES!
I have had both Road Kings and Heritages. The Heritage, same as the Fatboy, is a much easier bike to handle, especially in traffic, parking lots, windy roads, etc. Although not quite as comfortable on a long highway ride, my Heritage is plenty comfortable for me.

Just my .02

Keep the king, there's no reason why the king can't keep up with other bikes, and I think you'll find that the king handles probably better than the FB. Just my personal opinion FWIW

Interesting, I'm thinking of doing the reverse, going from my 04 Fatboy to a RK someday. I don't think there's huge difference but maybe. One thing about it, none of these bikes are fast cornering performance machines.. Well a sportster may be quite nimble. My thing about it is, the more of a hurry I get into, the shorter the ride, so why am I rushing.. I let the other guys go if they're in such a hurry to get to the burger hut. If I were going to rip up the curves, I'd be riding a ducati. So I'm blatantly a slowpoke on these twistie roads. And also hope to stay out of trouble like washed out gravel as well. In the straight aways, then I hit give the throttle some nice exercise. [8D] My 2cents.. Keep your bagger.

RK's can be tricked out and customized very cool.. Kind of like a 50's lead sled sort of look. Everybody and their brother has a fatboy.

Keep in mind also the comfort factor on long rides, solid mounted engine as opposed to rubber mounted, makes a big difference

Keep the RK and get a FB!

I own a older EG and a 2004 FB. Yes my EG is morwe difficult to handle in the city, a lot more work. But on the Hi-way it is much more confy then the FB. The rubber mounted engine is so much nicer on long trips.

My FB is easy to ride and I use it all the time for day trips and just around town. I love them both for each of there good points.

Who says you have to own just one HD

2...cents

Now there's the perfect solution foe you. I did it when I had a WG and wanted a road king, just moved it over , then I had the best of both worlds.
Sure beats trying to decide between the two!
