I just got my 03 std and one remote is inop. I tried a new battery and also held the button for 10-15 seconds like the manual said. but it is still inop. any ideas? how do you reprogram them?

 

a dealer can reprogram.

 

does it have to be done at the dealer? I am a mechanic, so it's hard for me to pay another mechanic for something i can do.

 

I'm curious what you paid for your fxst and how many miles were on it.

 

It has 6,000 on it and came with many extras like screamin eagle pipes,K&N filter,stage one download,pegs,grips,duece bars,braided cables,chrome levers,saddle bags,badlander seat,charger,helmet and jacket. and is very clean and well cared for. I paid the asking price of 10500.

 

Did you put the battery in upside down?

 

No, I put the plus sign down, same as the one I removed. thanks for the idea though.
