Thanks for the suggestions. I bought the bike used and it already had the sissy bar/rack/windshield package. Just bought a fork bag and will try it with that. Good information on the lower screen size as I was going to give that a shot as well and won't be spending the money. If none of it works out then I will be selling the windshield to get some Ness 3" extensions for the forward controls!!
