This was just covered a few hours ago. The general agreement was they are fine as long as you keep the solid wheels and not chrome them, the not chrome backside reflects onto the chrome wheel. Hope this helps.

I was down at my stealers today and seen a real tricked out fat boy, had all the good chrome on it a guy could find and i'm talking billet stuff, funny thing is though this guy used the cover and not a billet sprocket.
i figuer if a guy that spends that much $$$ on chrome for his bike but chooses to use a chrome cover on the sprocket instead of a billet one it must be ok
