Hi Guys
First ever post so treat me gentle !!
I have a 2008 fatboy and I have noticed the 2009 comes with chrome wheels as a option
Has anyone gor any good photos ? The Harley web site only shows them when you click on the wheel option and you can not see any detail ,Also under new products online parts \\;it does not list them
Want to order them just need a decent picture and part numbers?
I am curious about this too, as I was going to look into if they would fit on an 07. I have a feeling they might, maybe just have to change out the bearings. Let us know what you find out.
I too have an 07 Fatboy and checked out a 09 denim black Fatboy at a dealer with the chrome wheels. Of course they look good. My only concern is if /when I change the bike is that I've two friends with 05 anniversary 1550 fatboys who's wheels are alloy with chrome rim finishing. Despite being looked after the chrome on all wheels have peeled and they look poor now with no cheap option to fix. I've heard that chroming on alloy may have been the issue. How will the 09 chrome wheels stand up or is it watch and see after they've been out for a while ??
Part of my Winter project was going to be getting my wheels chromed. I haven't heard a lot about them, but I'm also interested in how long it will last.
I decided to just buy a brand new set of the HD chrome Fatboy wheels instead of getting mine sent out to be chromed.
I went to the dealer and they want $950 CAN each to pull mine off and send out to get chromed, then replace the bearings.
I priced the brand new chrome wheels at $520 CAN with new bearings.
I figure I might as well buy the new chrome wheels, and then try to sell my original wheels for a few hundred.
