Default big radius 2 into 2

My HD stealer put the 2 into 2 on my rocker about 1200 miles ago. They had done it on a few other bikes and had no problems. I have not had any problems either. These are the stock 2 into 2 big radius for softails

I have had reg. Big Radious on my rocker since june with no problems at all,

just wondering why would you have any engine trouble long or short term after all it is still the same motor as the softail custom, and as far as i know it is the same motor for a lot of HD's

I've had BR 2-2 with Gibs bracket on my Rocker since March with absolutely no problems or issues. Given the delays with V&H I'd purchase Rocketmans bracket and the standard softail 2-2 pipes and wouldn't look back.

^^^Those were my exact thoughts. I think the dealer is just being extra careful and trying to avoid a liability issue down the road.

Thanks

I bought my bike from the Harley dealer with the V&H 2-2 pipes installed. 4000+ miles without a issue...

the only difference i can see between the two pipes is the bracket. if you go to the website and look at the install instructions for each pipe, the bracket is clearly a different shape. gib's bracket works great on my bike!!

Thanks for the advise guys... I was all ready to buy Gib's bracket when I found out that they located the 26043 (VH BR 2:2) for the Rocker in PA (american classic motors).

They had 5 in stock, ready to ship. Planning on picking the bike up Saturday w/o the pipe and the dealer will ship them straight to me since they're a 4 hour drive away.

American Classic Motors does not have them in stock, I ordered from them. After payment they told me that they will not have the Big Radius 26043 until 9/24/2008. I ordered from them through ebay.

Will I some sort of engine management with just the pipes alone?

Default Exhaust Upgrade Help.......

Good Morning All:

I am in Canada and the delay for us is a little longer for the 26043 V&H Big Radius......I am being told it will be into 09 before we see them.

I am getting conflicting opinions from HD dealers with regards to what I actually need to do to set this up. The dealer I bought my bike from is telling me that I need (1) V&H exhaust (2) Hi-flow air filter (3) HD EFI Race Tuner. Another HD dealer told me that all I need is a software download onto my machine and a hi-flow air filter to enhance my performance for now and when the pipes come in, just bolt them up.

My dealer also told me that if I use a V&H Race Tuner I will void the warranty on my machine. Obviously I want to do what is right but I don't want to throw away money that I could spend on more HD stuff it I don't need to.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.......

Cheers,

Firemanheff
