the seat uses suction cups. when i got it i was going to use velcro so i cut the suction cups off. well the velcro was a bad idea so i have no cups or velcro and never had the seat come loose in the last 14 months i've had the kit on

06kustom is dead on regarding the suspension, Heartland makes a GREAT kit, bet we sold over twenty this past spring. You got to remember that it's not just the cost of the parts, but the cost of product liability insurance as well. It's the same reason a damn ladder costs 100.00 or more, when it should cost about 29.95, insurance companies run the country now, from healthcare to workers comp and everything in between

Default Durability Question

Just curious how many miles folks have on their Heartland 250 kits. Just rolled 15K on my '07 FXSTC.

I may not have paid full price for mine but I think I eventually might have if I had to do it. NO REGRETS. There are easier ways to get other kits but most kits you put together lose the ability to ride two up goes out the door unless you use a P-Pad. I know people have built kits with a two up seat but it is not as clean and the lack of a sissy bar. Save you're pennies and go Heartland. I have not heard anybody upset about there product, maybe customer service but not the product.

It's been almost a year now for me with my Heartland kit.. Put a little over 6k miles on it up to this point.. Everything is still working as new however the 2up seat rattles a little with no one on it.. It would be nice if there was a way to adjust latches into the strut and tighten things up.. Never had the tire come in contact with the fender but I can/do drag the pipe and outer primary with it being so low.. I have to really think before I lay it over in a turn.. lol

One of the 2 suction cups is on the fender til I sit on it then both are in contact with it..
