I'm 6'1" 245lbs. I found that the stock bars made me hunker over to grab them. Changing to apes helped with that. Mine are 13", but I could see going a couple inches higher being even more comfortable. There isn't a whole lot that you can move back with the stock seat, but for now you ought to try it and who knows; it might be enough for you. I found that the Corbin Classic Solo still seats you pretty far forward. I think they may have some options for taller riders though. I've also heard of people using a Heritage Springer seat for this. I personally like a seat that is low profile and has me riding at least a couple inches back from stock positioning. My two main seats are a Lepera barebones made for a panhead and a C&C Sport Tour. When it comes to riding a long time, I've found that the Cruise Arm highway pegs also really help me to be able to stretch out some and change positions more.
1.) 03 Springer seat does allow you to move back a bit(the contour of seat doesn't push you forward like the stock seat!)..Plus the springer grab rail looks much better IMO!
2.) Floorboard extenders work great...I only have the extenders that push the floorboards out, not forward. I use the Kury mark IV hwy bars!
3.) Lose the pullback risers and bars!! I went with Apes (14") with a 1.5" riser. Works great for me!
...Probably will send my stock seat out to be reshaped one day!
I'm 6'2 and 210.I shaved my seat back (untill C&C can make a new one for an 08) and put Kury MK IV's on the front and it works for me while riding around town. My next big buy is a new seat and beach bars before going on a long ride.
I have the same issue with the Rocker. Feels a little cramped. I'm 6'2 also. I'd like to extend the foot controls/pegs but I don't really feel like I need floorboards. I just bought $30 mirror extenders so that I can see more than my shoulders in the rearview mirrors.
I want to change my bars too but I just haven't figured out the right height and style I want to go with yet...
+1 for C&C Seats... Solo for solo riding, Sport Tour for local two-up riding. Puts you down and back quite a bit, and has really good lower back support.
