First of all what is a "True Biker"? I don't think there is a difference. Riding is a passion that both posses. If a true biker is someone that knows how to fix a motorcycle, than there are few "true bikers" on this forum & there wouldn't be a need to help each other out with some of the questions that are asked. Simply stated: Passion for the ride is what makes us go out on weekends or practically live on the bike.

so, you're saying the guys who ride in to work all week are "real" bikers, compared to me, who hates to ride to work?

Sounds like a bit of jealousy to me! The important thing is,they like to ride! We can't all know everything about everything. People buy houses and don't know a darn thing about the upkeep, they buy cars and don't know anything about them. I'm on a computer that I know very little about but it's not stopping me from enjoying it.
Some guys and gals work very hard for there 30K Harley's! I say let them ride and you should find another bone to chew!

I don't think I am a RUB... I must be a PUB, or a DUB, or even an IUB. (Poor, Dum, Idiot)

Ummm I have NEW Harley Logo jacket, NEW Harley boots. Oh... NEW Harley (FLSTC). So, I'm probably NOT a "biker" to you?

Let's see. I CAN fix a bike, actually one end to another. But, maybe since I go to work and make a decent wage at what I do for a living, I can afford to pay professionals to fix most things? That makes me not a biker?

I ride, sun, rain, snow, etc. whatever comes my way.

And............I rode a Harley in the 70's, did you?

Out of all the guys that you make fun of???? I bet at least ONE will eventually be mechanically inclined etc, to meet your expectations. Those rich bastards are for the most part rich, because why? Could it be they are smart?

Wish I was smart.

it is all relative!!!!!

that weekend warrior looks down his nose at his non riding co-workers and calls himself a biker....

a mechanic, Plumer,(blue collar) looks down there nose at the weekend warrior because they now how to work on there bike.............and calls himself a biker..........

that hells angels 1% (one percenter) looks down his nose at the blue collar worker and really calls himself a biker...............

cmon, this is one of the biggest problems we have as a country everybody thinks they are better than the next guy!!!!!!
