Rpm/mph

What RPM at 55 mph in 5th gear are you doing on a 07 6 speed night train or any other softail? ( just testing out my tach) Thanks

A mph/rpm calculator that Nightrider.com has lets people put in the gear ratio's of their bike and it gives a page that can be printed out at whatever RPM range you want in all gears.
My chart shows me that on my 07 FLSTC that 59.9 MPH in 5th gear = 2500rpm,s

What is it showing on your tach?? oct1949

Mine shows me that on my 07 FLSTC that I am runnig 2500rpm,s at 59.9MPH in 5th gear.

2600 rpm. I thought it might be a hundred high because the needle does not sit on zero when the ign. is in the on position. It reads about 100-125 high. (it was a used tach I bought from a friend.) I guess I'll adjust to it. Idling about 1050-1100.
I have white hair but I don't think I am too smart sometimes. got ya by a year. Thanks.
