Default Oxidation/pit marks

Hey guys I have an 07 Fatboy, I have oxidation/pit marks on my forks, i wondering if there is a safe method to cleaning that up and then preventing it in the future. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about the lower sliders? Rock chip? As far as I know the front forks are covered with clear coat, I don't really know what you can do to clean them.

The lower sliders are aluminum, like I said they are covered with clear coat. I would try some polish and wax, if they are rusted, touch them up with clear paint.
