Default Brushed Aluminum

I have a polished spot about 2-3 inches long on one of my lower sliders that like a dumb azz I made while removing one of the reflectors. Has anyone tried a technique that works to match the surrounding brushed look? Scotchbrite or fine sandpaper possibly?
I know the hardest part will be keeping the strokes parallel with existing brush marks. I'll probably add a chrome front-end eventually but thought I would give it a shot for now if possible. I know I could polish both sliders, but if I have to go to all that trouble, I would just go chrome.

I have a pair of 2013 sliders you can buy and practice on or send to get plated while you ride......LOL

Those lower legs are clear coated, maybe just a blast of paint will do it.

I would try the Red Scotchbrite and match grain it. The hard part is going to be the clear coat. Good luck!

I forgot the sliders were clear coated, maybe I just removed the clear. Anybody else had this issue? I think I see chrome sliders in my near future.
