I have a 2007 Heritage with the 3 inch Cycle Shack balony cut mufflers. The mufflers have a good deep throatie sound that is not too loud but much better than stock mufflers. The mufflers did not cause any chnages to the AFR or ECM that I am aware of. The chrome finish is flawless and they were reasonably priced. I would recommend them to any one that wants a better sounding bike at a reasonable price.
Had them on a different bike and loved them. They are the original Screamin' Eagle before the EPA got on Harley for selling them. Did the research and found out that cycle shack doesn't have to abide by the same laws that harley (s.e.) does.
Just took a set off of my 06 Heritage. They were awesome; great sound, good quality etc. Used the stock heat shields - they looked like they belonged there. I'll post a picture if I can figure out how to do it with the new forum.
By the way - you'll need larger clamps (hose clamps) if you intend to use the stock heat shields on the slip-ons.
My wife has them on her 2004 Sporty Custom and I think they sound great. Perhaps even better than the BUBs on my Fatboy. They certainly have a deeper tone.
Cycle Shacks are definitely better than stock and sound pretty good. I had a pair on my Dyna and was happy with them. I have V&H Straight Shots on my Heritage and I think they sound much better. Go with V&H if you can spend a little more money.
