Default o7 clutch ajustment

hey bro's heres the thing i did my 10k service last week and clutch didn;t seem to have any free play (noticed this for a couple of weeks but knew that service was coming up soon and it wasn't slipping) there must be a adjustment for the cable but i'm have trouble finding it. i don't have the service manuals yet the little woman have it on my xmas stocking list.

If you trace down your clutch cable, you will see a rubber boot. Slide the boot up (or down) the cable and the adjuster is inside.

My service manual cautions that the clutch adjustment should only be done with the clutch cold or at room temp.

what sense does that make...how long is your bike cold while you ride it?
operating temp=real world conditions
